2022 King Holiday Observance. Tomorrow morning I’ll join the King Center and my Atlanta community in celebrating the life of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
We begin a week of reflections and activities commemorating the King Holiday to remind us, those committed to honoring the life, teaching and work of Dr. King of the assignment— to educate, to advocate and to activate.

I find myself in the Civil Rights fight of my life, in the place I least expected [or wanted] to find it; surrounded by people skilled in quoting King but unwilling to model the principles he stood, lived and died for.
I will not quote Dr. King today.
My focus today is to walk the walk, summoning the love and compassion that propelled Dr. King and the strength and courage that requires.
Be a King.
Luckie
